Ultraviolet Light Sources

UVIS (Ultraviolet Inspection Station)
The UVIS is an ultraviolet (UV) fluorescent light source and inspection station that can be used for the verification of security documents such as passports, visas, currency, checks, stock certificates, vital records, vehicle titles, etc. The ultraviolet light fixture is available separately or mounted inside of a free-standing inspection housing unit.
The UVIS is equiped with two longwave ultraviolet (UV-A) lamps and is available with a third shortwave (UV-B) lamp. The shortwave lamp provides the ability to verify the presence of materials activated by shortwave UV. The long lasting lamps are gauranteed to last 5000 hours or one year. The US Federal government and other institutions depend on the Angstrom UVIS to verify passports and other critical doucuments and materials.

Portable UV Light Sources
Our portable UV light sources utilize solid state LED UV technology featuring a narrow emission spectral band, long battery life and our UV LEDs are gauranteed to last a minimum of one year.

Luminator™
The Luminator™ is a portable, pocket size light source with four ultraviolet (UV) light emitting diodes. These LEDS provide 365nm emission wavelength to assure accurate UV-A illumination. Unlike many cheap imitations that are mostly blue light, the Angstrom Luminator offers true 365nm UV-A illumination in a compact size. The Luminator uses three easily replaceable AA batteries (included).

The Luminator™ is an effective tool to verify security features found in:

• Currency (security thread and watermark).
• Negotiable documents (certificates, travelers checks).
• Credit cards and ID’s.
• Virtually anything that has been coded with fluorescent material.
• Forensic applications.

Authenticator
Our most economical portable UV light source features a 375nm emission wavelength in an extremely compact size. The Authenticator is small enough to fit on a keychain but features two replaceable lithium batteries providing over an estimated 30,000 activations.

The Athenticator is an effective tool to verify security features found in:

• Currency (security thread and watermark).
• Negotiable documents (certificates, travelers checks).
• Credit cards and ID’s.
• Virtually anything that has been coded with fluorescent material.
• Forensic applications.
